RECONSTRUCTION OF THE PRIMARY SCHOOL "BRANKO MILJKOVIC"  BEGINS

The Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, the Mayor of the City of Niš PhD Zoran Perisic, with contractors of construction works, signed a trilateral Agreement on the reconstruction of the primary school "Branko Miljkovic" located in settlement Delijski vis, Palilula in Nis. The works will be performed, as stated, by construction company from Leskovac, and the deadline for completion is 180 calendar days. Half of the funds for this purpose in total just over 51 million dinars will provide City of Nis, while the other half of the funds will provide the relevant ministry.

Classes at this school, where because of the danger of demolition, the inspection already in 2012 banned the use of nine classrooms, by the end of this school year could be normalized. When the reconstruction is completed, the students of this school will, after more than two years, have lessons in two shifts, which will no longer be shorter as earlier. The city, in the words of Boban Dzunic, president of Palilula Municipality, after the submitted requests duly secured all permits and approvals required statements, as well as funds from the budget for the implementation of this agreement and reconstruction of school building.
